Synth Frequency Festival #1: The New Parisian Meeting for Synthwave

Europe invades Paris for three memorable nights

Paris, 13/01/2025 – A new breeze is blowing through the capital with the arrival of Synth Frequency Festival #1, an event dedicated entirely to the synthwave scene and its electronic music universes. Scheduled for January 23, 24, and 25, this festival promises two intense evenings where artists, DJs, and the audience will resonate to the rhythm of nostalgic and futuristic sounds.

A passionate initiative led by Ben and Nash
Ben, former organizer of the Nuits Froides Festival in Rouen, and Nash, Parisian DJ and musician, have joined forces to create this event. Their goal? To provide an expressive space for the synthwave scene and its derivatives, such as minimal wave, EBM, and darkwave.

After making a mark in Rouen, Ben is moving to Paris with this ambitious new project. A musician himself and a former member of the now-disbanded group Hammershoï, he has curated a lineup of carefully selected artists, blending long-time friends with new discoveries. Alongside him, Nash brings her expertise and creativity to shape an immersive and captivating event.

A rich and eclectic program
The festival will take place in two iconic venues: Atomic Cat for concerts and Les Caves Saint Sabin for after-parties. Each evening will feature a mix of live performances and DJ sets, immersing participants in a unique atmosphere.
The lineup for Synth Frequency Festival #1 promises a total immersion into varied and captivating soundscapes. The audience will discover MÄNGELEXEMPLAR from Germany with his 80s-inspired melodic minimal electro, and ZACK ZACK ZACK, an Austrian duo blending oriental darkwave and post-punk. Switzerland will be represented by SEX KINO, offering a unique fusion of new wave and dark disco, while Finland will bring its distinctive vibe with LOLA KUMTUS. Finally, Scotland will complete this eclectic lineup with SOFT RIOT, a master of enchanting synthpop and minimal synth.
After the concerts, the energy will continue with a series of DJ sets at Les Caves Saint Sabin. Among the artists present, Sue Ellen, a figure in the Parisian scene, will kick off the night with her hypnotic sounds. She will be followed by Mara Mortem and Fil Noir, representing the British collective Reformation Club, and Klischee, a regular at Parisian nights.

The evening will continue with the electrifying sets of Kim Peers and Graftak, coming straight from Belgium with deep and intense vibes, before giving way to «M» Martin from the German collective Shockwave. A rich and varied program that promises total immersion until the early morning. Don’t miss this exceptional event to dive into the captivating world of synthwave. Get ready for an unforgettable auditory and visual experience.
